About Celeste Tomaselli

I am currently a Senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Clinical/Community Psychology with a minor in Gender and Women's Studies. I am extremely passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health, increasing sexual violence awareness, and creating equal opportunities for people of all identities. I will be attending UIUC for my Master's of Social Work in the summer with a concentration in Leadership and Social Change. I hope to further my studies of patriarchal influences on sexual violence culture. I currently teach sexual violence prevention education at UIUC through the Women's Resource Center. I facilitate the First Year Campus Acquaintance Rape Education (FYCARE) program which is a required sexual violence prevention course for first year and transfer students at UIUC. Additionally, I have an ongoing position at the Women's Resource Center and have recently started the Counseling Center Paraprofessionals program through the UIUC Counseling center. Outside of my career advancement, I am the Cymbal Section Leader for the Marching Illini Drumline and am in my fourth year of membership.
