About Celia Argabright

I am a CLAD certified credentialed elementary teacher that also possess a supplemental Art credential. I have experience teaching grades K-5th for over 22 years. While most of my career I have taught for the Walnut Creek School District at various grade levels, I also spent 2 years developing an art program, teaching the California's Art Standards and mentoring teachers on how to incorporate visual arts into their curriculum for the Pleasanton Unified School District. Presently, I teach third grade and teach after school art classes. I am a planner by nature but also recognize the unplanned "learning opportunity" and embrace it without hesitation. I have excellent class management skills and strive to have positive relationships with all my students. I love researching and creating new innovative lessons to bring to my students. I excel at taking curriculum goals and breaking them down into logical and organized lessons. My love for teaching children is deep and personal. I strive to help each child feel successful and discover how they personally learn best. I have experience and success with educating children with disabilities such as autism, asbergers, ADHD, dyslexia and students with visual and/or auditory processing issues. Upon entering my classroom you would see that students are learning by doing. By this I mean, students build their knowledge of subjects with visual arts, hands-on projects, and group collaboration. Technology with the use of Chrome books plays a huge part in expanding my students knowledge and skills. My goal is to make learning fun and interesting.
