About Celia Reddick
I am a scholar of comparative and international education. My research contributes to a growing focus on education in settings of conflict and crisis, and the particular challenges of providing inclusive education to young people experiencing forced migration. My work has been featured in the Comparative Education Review, the Journal of Refugee Studies, and Language and Education, among others. I have also shared my research with broader audiences, including on FreshEd, a leading podcast in comparative and international education, and in invited workshops with UNHCR. Like my research, my teaching and advising are guided by my belief that community is key to learning. Having taught in diverse contexts globally, I design my courses to enable students to build relationships of trust as they engage with issues of (in)equity in education. At Boston College, I design and teach courses related to language, migration, and education.
