Educational Leader + Innovator I am a passionate leader, learner and educator who strives to ensure each student receives the best education possible. Serving as a literacy educator, I advocate for students across their educational career. I seek opportunities to collaborate with community stakeholders and develop programming that reaches students beyond the classroom through opportunities that lead to longterm success. My proudest moments as an educator have been: As a Teacher, when asked to present, mentor, and advise New Teachers to help support them as they enter into one of the most rewarding careers available. Having the chance to share best practices while also feeling the excitement of creating a positive culture and community for students to be successful. As an Elementary Principal Intern, engaging staff in Culturally Responsive practices that can be applied to their classroom the next day. Seeing the smiles and connection between staff members as they collaborated and shared experiences to develop self-awareness. As a Teacher Leader, planning, executing, and implementing a field trip that was offered to 700 students and had more than a dozen chaperones that included parents, teachers, and supervisors. As a Teacher of at risk students, securing a grant so students could have access to fidgets to ensure greater focus and success for their academic classes.
