About Celma Pires

With over 24 years of experience in the finance sector and an MBA from Columbia University/INDEG, I began my career in auditing. After 4 years at EY, I joined EDF Energías Nouvelles, where I played a key role in developing EDF's renewable energy arm in Portugal for 2 years. In 2007, I relocated to Madrid to continue my career at EDP, further solidifying my expertise in the renewable energy sector. In 2025, I made a strategic career shift to Onivia, entering the telecom sector, which allowed me to expand my perspective and skills across new industries. Throughout my career, I have remained focused on the finance area, specializing in Accounting, FP & A, Project Finance, and Corporate Treasury, with significant multicultural experience working with international teams. Since 2012, I have been an invited professor of Project Finance in the Master's program in Electrical Energy Conversion and Power Systems at the University of Oviedo, where I share my expertise with the next generation of professionals. My career has been defined by continuous evolution and adaptation to new challenges, always with the aim of creating value in every project and business environment I engage with.
