Celso Oliveira is Vice President of Financing for Southwestern Ontario at BDC, Canada’s bank for entrepreneurs. With over 20 years of experience spanning financial services, entrepreneurship, education, and community leadership, Celso is a passionate advocate for small business growth and innovation. Since joining BDC in 2016, Celso has held several key leadership roles, including Business Centre Manager, Automotive Industry Strategy Lead, and Regional Director of Strategy Implementation for Ontario. His strategic vision and deep industry expertise have helped drive innovation and growth across the province. In his current role, Celso leads a dynamic team across Windsor, London, St. Catharines and Kitchener-Waterloo, supporting entrepreneurs in achieving ambitious goals through financing and advisory solutions. Celso holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from the University of Windsor, where he has also served as a lecturer at the Odette School of Business for over a decade. He is an active community leader, serving on the Board of Directors for Diabetes Canada as Regional Chair, and on the University of Windsor’s Board of Governors, where he currently chairs the Pension Committee. Celso lives near Windsor with his wife and three young children. He brings a collaborative leadership style, market expertise, and a deep commitment to empowering Canadian entrepreneurs.
