I am currently a Band 7 Senior Clinician and Clinical Supervisor for the NHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST) based in Barking and Dagenham. I am responsible for the operational management of my team and clinical supervision of senior practitioners. I support the strategic and practical development of the MHST initiative within the service and wider children’s mental health system, under the direction of the service lead. I work closely with the Head of Service, schools in the borough and the Local Authority to facilitate the delivery of the MHST initiative in Barking and Dagenham and support wider service transformation within the local child mental health system. I oversee the formulation and treatment and management plans for schools, parents, children and young people being supported by the MHST. Alongside this I continue to hold a small caseload of CYP with moderate MH needs.
