A passionate, dedicated and loyal GIS expert, I have a wealth of experience operating on a national scale. Working for a national infrastructure provider, I have been a part of wide-ranging projects on a large scale. As a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst with over 7 years of experience, I have gained valuable management and leadership skills while overseeing a team within Rand Water's GIS department. My primary responsibility is to ensure GIS functions are upheld and that my team is equipped with the necessary skills to execute their duties with accuracy and precision. I have a demonstrated ability to interpret geospatial data and generate maps based on this information, as well as undertake complex 3D data modeling and map plotting utilizing computer processing, resulting in accurate visualizations of analyses. I am proficient in creating visualizations and conducting data analysis as per client requirements, generating maps, tables, and graphs. I am also responsible for managing and updating GIS databases, digitizing and clarifying data, and performing complex Geographical Information Systems Analysis. Before becoming a GIS Analyst, I worked as a GIS Technician for over 5 years. During this time, I provided a complete service to clients, undertaking mapping and modeling as per client requirements. I advised clients on all areas relating to GIS services, offered exceptional customer service and resolved issues. Additionally, I performed a range of GIS-related tasks, including data mapping, conversion and editing, remote sensing and photogrammetry, and database management. I am fully accountable for the accuracy and relevancy of data and sources for information and use. I analyze data to generate reports and present them to colleagues, senior management, and clients on GIS issues, system updates, and services.
