About Cesar Cancho

With over ten years of experience at The World Bank, I have contributed to various projects and initiatives that aim to address poverty and inequality, assess the distributional impacts of policy reforms and further our understanding of the challenges the less well-off around the world face to improve their living conditions. As a Senior Economist, I lead and support the design, implementation, and evaluation of economic policies and programs for poverty reduction and social inclusion, using data analysis, analytical skills, and economics knowledge. I also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as governments, NGOs, researchers, and donors, to share insights, best practices, and recommendations. My mission is to use my expertise and skills to help the World Bank achieve its goals of ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. I am passionate about finding innovative and effective solutions to complex and pressing global challenges, and I am always eager to learn from diverse perspectives and experiences.
