About Cesare Autera

My name is Cesare Autera. I am happily married with Pamela and blessed by a beautiful son: Giacomo. I am an unconventional Italian. By this I mean I do not fit into the classic “Italian guy” stereotype. Passion and commitment are the drivers, but I believe in the power of programming. Yes I’m creative, but also well-structured, because creativity without organization does not lead to success. Teamwork is my belief: a motivated group of people can face any challenge. I had the opportunity to work in several industries and in different countries. I am used to multicultural environments, better I like multicultural environments: they are enriching and stimulating. I successfully managed large budgets, people and marketing & sales activities. Experienced in strategy & business development and in project management, I played an active role in the process which led to the start up of ITA airways. Actually I lead the Alliances an Partnerships Department of ITA airways taking care of Global Alliance, Airline Partnerships, Intermodality, Alliances Operations, Systems and Staff Travel. The portfolio my team takes care of is composed by more than 400 agreements (Joint Ventures, Code-Shares, Special Prorate Agreements, Interline and Staff Travel). My professional experience in Sales, Marketing, General Management, Business Development and Strategy has a sound educational background. I graduated at LUISS University in Economics with a major in Marketing. My graduation thesis (110/110 cum laude) about Artificial Intelligence applied to Marketing, in cooperation with the R&D Centre of IBM, was awarded as one of the best Italian marketing studies of the year.
