About Chad Arledge
Biomedical Engineering PhD student at the Virginia Tech-Wake Forest University School of Biomedical Engineering and Sciences. My research is focusing on the development of novel machine learning approaches in cancer imaging approaches such as MRI. I specifically focus on deep learning approaches for image segmentation, synthetic image generation, and quantitative modeling. Recently, we have developed deep learning algorithms to fully automate the generation of pharmacokinetic parameter maps based on dynamic contrast enhanced (DCE) MRI as a potential surrogate to conventional complex pharmacokinetic modeling in small animal brain tumor models. I also currently serve as a graduate teaching assistant for the Engineering Department at Wake Forest University.
