About Chad E. Smith
I spent a decade in the K-12 classroom teaching deaf/hard-of-hearing students. Realizing the scarcity of deaf educators with technology backgrounds, I earned my doctorate in computing technology in education. After a decade of training teachers of the deaf and coordinating TWU's online graduate program in Deaf Education, I created the Texas Woman's University Future Classroom Lab modeled after the original Future Classroom Lab in Brussels, Belgium. Now, in addition to training future teachers of the deaf, I provide 21st Century Learning opportunities to future teachers of the deaf, K-12 students who are hearing and/or deaf/hard of hearing, and local teachers. Learning opportunities include a variety of methodologies that incorporate diverse STEM content.
