About Chad Edinger

Chad Edinger graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1996 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice, and was awarded a Youth Development Certificate in 1998 from UWM. He began his career in Social Work at a community center, where he planned, implemented, and delivered programming for youth. He coordinated a summer program that operated in collaboration with Milwaukee Public School System. Later, he worked for the YMCA where he initiated a teen program designed to include leadership training, personal growth, service to others, and social development. In he became employed with The Florence Crittenton Center for Young Families, Young Fathers Program, where he managed the Young Fathers program and coordinated school-based services that included designing a Denver Public Schools five-credit course. In 2003 he became the Parent Opportunity Program (POP) Manager for PSI, where he supervised case managers who worked with non-custodial parents to remove their barriers to providing support to their children, and coordinated POP services to occur in conjunction with Child Support Services. He also coordinated the Welfare-to-Work Program contract between PSI and a local workforce center, and provided consulting services to other states and jurisdictions that wanted to provide similar services and partnerships. In 2006 Chad was Policy Specialist for Colorado Department of Human Services, Division of Child Support Enforcement (CSE) where he focused on paternity establishment, medical support, and incarcerated obligors. In 2007 Chad became the CSE Division Manager for Arapahoe County. He managed all aspects of the local program and managed contracts with local workforce providers to assist in removing payment barriers for obligors, coordinated with the Courts to establish problem-solving court concepts, and collaborated with several fatherhood programs, mediation services and criminal justice agencies to systematically address any reason for non-payment.
