About Chad Egan

Graduated from the University of Newcastle in June 2018, with a Bachelor of Engineering(Hons)(Civil). Completed in depth studies of each key civil engineering disciplines: Geotechnical analysis, structural analysis, hydro-hydraulic analysis, project management and statistical/numerical modelling. Completed a thesis on the overall stability of anchored walls with key focus on the optimisation of anchorage systems. Completed partial - full time works with Fusion Civil across the Sydney - Hunter regions from 2016 - 2018. Exposure to large scale jobs such as: West Connex, North Connex, Sydney Light Rail and The Northern Beaches hospital Upgrade. These jobs lead to key experience in the applications of earthworks and the construction of large scale retaining walls such as, soil nail retention and reinforced earth walls. Key areas of development working as a Site Engineer/Project Engineer enhanced the following skills- Scheduling/ programming - Procurement - Subcontractor management - Development and review of SWMS/JSEAs - Financial Forecasting - Cost tracking and analysis - Quality Assurance - Understanding and development of the RMS specifications - EOM claims/variations Currently working as a Site Engineer for Seymour Whyte Group on the Berry to Bomaderry Highway Upgrade.
