About Chad Gray

Over the past decade, I worked as a food scientist, where precision, cross-functional collaboration, and deep domain knowledge shaped every decision. I recently formalized my analytical skillset by earning a master’s in Data Science and applied those skills to strategic initiatives in higher education. Despite the different industry, I continued to do my favorite thing: empowering people through data - this time, by using machine learning techniques, insight-rich reports, and dashboards. This mix of technical fluency and operational experience taught me a core truth: data becomes exponentially more powerful when grounded in industry context. That’s why I bring more than models and dashboards. I bring an understanding of how data fits into the real world of business and organizational decision-making. In sectors I know deeply, like food manufacturing and higher education, that means I can hit the ground running and provide nuanced, actionable insights from day one. At the same time, I’m energized by learning new industries and solving new kinds of problems. Whether working in a familiar space or exploring new terrain, I’m always driven to turn complexity into clarity, and insight into impact. I’m currently seeking opportunities as a Data Scientist or Business Analyst, where I can blend strategic thinking, technical skills, and real-world perspective to help teams do their best work.
