Working in an Education environment for over 20 years in IT has been an awesome experience. I had the opportunity of working with many great colleagues and enjoyed the work. Watching my two kids grow and learn at the school made it very worthwhile. I recently made a job shift in the IT industry away from Education and into Retail. I had always wanted to try working in a completely different industry with the IT skillset, and the opportunity presented itself. I have had a great first year as a Systems Engineer for ABC Fine Wine & Spirits. It’s a small family owned business and the people have been nothing but kind. It is a great working environment with a positive vibe and work culture. I spend my time supporting my daughter with her busy school/sports schedules and checking in on my son away at college.
