Over the past 15+ years, I have acquired extensive experience in leading onsite, offsite, and offshore resources in executing end-to-end Lean process improvements, functioning as a bridge between the business and technical functions while maintaining alignment with core mission, vision, and values. Accomplishments: Spearhead a department of 12 managers and a team of 230+ onshore and offshore resources, supporting seven distinct business processes focused on detection and prevention of fraud and abuse for United Healthcare. Led a department delivering payment integrity services to major insurance companies such as Blue Shield of California, Florida Blue, Highmark, Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare, AmeriHealth Caritas, WellCare, Wellmark, Molina, HealthFirst, and Medical Mutual of Ohio. Delivered $620M+ in annual savings in 2020 at Optum by overseeing the client payment integrity program for nine clients and managing the teams accountable for identifying incorrectly billed claims through medical records review. Generated $175M in annual savings for three new medical insurance clients in 2018 at Optum by directing the teams in charge of reviewing pre-pay claims to identify coding errors for the clients. Achieved $1.65M+ in savings at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota by coordinating process improvement projects in diverse divisions within the organization, including Operations, IT, Human Resources, and Marketing.
