About Chad Hayda

I have a deep passion for teaching and believe in the importance of not only education but also a positive mentorship for students lives at such a pivotal age. I thoroughly enjoy doing my part in the process of growth that students make through not only the course of my class but during their educational career. During my senior year of college, I student taught for 11th grade US History where I was able to have my own class for approximately 16 weeks. During that time, I was able to connect and establish great student-teacher relationships as well as starting to see major growth in many students in my content area and also as individuals. I was able to cheer students on at many sporting events from many football and volleyball games in the fall, to a school play, and I also was invited to wear a student’s jersey for their hockey senior night. Most recently, I have been subbing around Fargo Public Schools and have been to a multitude of different classes for grades 6 through 12. It has really helped me grow in my classroom management skills because generally students will try to walk over substitutes, but I have been able to establish my presence and respect from the moment students walk into class. I’ve also prepared students for state testing, ACT, as well as the National History Day competition which I helped foster leadership and time management skills with them. I am knowledgeable in computer software using Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. I am also familiar with school formats like PowerSchool and BlackBoard. I am looking forward to teaching and growing with my students and establishing a successful and rewarding career.
