About Chad K.

All my life growing up I was that kid that sat in the front of the class and always had the answer. Always eager to learn more, do more, and grow more. That mentality has always driven me to success as I progressed through nursing school while working 40 hours per week. For just over 2 years I thrived as a Registered Nurse treating inpatients on cardiac units where I was able to refine not only my nursing skills, but my interpersonal communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. I take great pride in my ability to always be prepared and have the forethought to present information in a way that answers someone's questions before they even have to ask them. In 2020 I made what I imagined would be a temporary job change to remove myself from the high risk setting of the hospital for my immunocompromised family's protection while we locked down for what we thought would be a few months at the most, but we know that was unfortunately not the case. In August of 2020 I was contracted to work as a Covid Compliance Officer of one of CBS's top performing shows at Warner Bros. Television Studios. I was very out of my element, but when I felt the tension and fear of the unknown amongst the entire crew when I first stepped onto the set, I jumped right in as I always do and took the opportunity of this new role to not only protect the physical wellbeing of my crew, but their peace of mind as well. I have always been a big advocate of mental health and believe that it is a very important factor to consider in every decision that I make. As a member of a team of 30+ other WBTV CCOs, I take immense pride in being one of the most knowledgeable and senior officers and happily taking the time to mentor, encourage, and assist junior CCO's as questions and problems arise on their own productions. I use my comprehensive understanding of the Return to Work Agreement and Studio Policy to inform my decisions, recommendations, and workarounds to my Production team, fellow CCOs, and Covid team that I directly oversee of 7 people. I never imagined I would be working 50+ hours per week outside of the hospital, much less thriving at it and now that COVID protocols have been discontinued, I am nothing but optimistic as to how I can use the new skills I have learned in an exciting new role.
