About Chad Nelson

I currently am a Part 135 Captain on both the Bombardier Challenger 300 and Dornier 328JET for Advanced Air, LLC based in Hawthorne, CA. I graduated in 2020 from Walla Walla University with a BS in Aviation Management and AS in Business. After graduating, my wife and I moved to Southern California where she attended medical school. I was a flight instructor for private, instrument, commercial and flight instructor students, earning my Gold Seal CFI certificate for an exceptional student pass rate. In late 2021, I was hired by Advanced Air, LLC where I have had the opportunity to develop my skills and leadership operating as pilot in command on three different turbine airframes across the nation. My current experience has given me a solid background to pursue my career goal of long haul international flying. Outside of aviation, I have experience in rental property management, home repair, customer service, public speaking, music performance and heavy equipment operation. I have traveled to over 35 countries, speak Spanish fluently and conversational B2 level French. My interests include a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, paragliding and mountain biking. I am a member of the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (USHPA).
