About Chad Reid

With 20 years of experience in project and contractor management, I focus on making sure work is done safely, efficiently, and in line with high standards. In my current role as Contractor Management Lead Advisor at Rio Tinto, I help ensure our teams are properly trained and fully equipped to manage contractors through the right systems and processes. A big part of my work is making sure contractors coming to site are qualified, compliant, and understand what’s expected of them—from safety requirements to accountability on the job. It’s about setting people up for success before they ever set foot on site. Earlier in my career at CIMA+, I led the Labrador City branch and worked on the Iron Ore Company of Canada’s Execution Team. That time helped shape how I lead today—with a focus on clarity, consistency, and collaboration. I’m committed to building strong working relationships, driving standards, and supporting teams so they can deliver safely and effectively in complex environments.
