About Chad Ross

After obtaining my Master's Degree in Social Studies Education from The University of Georgia, I worked 4 years for the public school system in Rockdale County, Georgia. During this time I served in multiple capacities including Lead Teacher for my instructional team, Assistant Basketball Coach, and Head Track Coach. I now work at the Upper School at Woodward Academy where I teach AP Microeconomics and chair our Social Studies Department. I have coached Middle School Cross Country, Middle School Track and Field, and JV Girls Basketball. In addition to my teaching and coaching responsibilities, I am also a faculty sponsor for our service learning club, WA Serves, faculty adviser for our Service Leadership Board, and faculty sponsor for both the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and a student-led Bible study. Additionally I have served on the Upper School's Discipline Board-chairing the board during my last year of service. I have recently obtained a PhD in Educational Leadership from Mercer University. Teaching, coaching, leading, and mentoring is my passion and I truly love the work that I get to do.
