About Chad Winch

My current role as Study Coordinator at CCTG provide me with substantial project management experience in a health care environment, as well as experience overseeing trial teams. My responsibilities have led to a solid foundation in data management and analysis using electronic databases, in clinical research policy, design, and conduction, and report generation and utilization. In addition to my standard roles and responsibilities as a Study Coordinator, I have been willing to accept further responsibilities as an EDC SC. These include clinical trial development using electronic data capture systems, internal and external training and mentorship, trial team consultation, SOP development, membership on multiple committees designed to address specific data collection and design issues, and public speaking/presentations.In addition to having an MSc of Science in Epidemiology from Queens University, I also hold a post graduate degree in Clinical Research from Humber College, and a BSc. in Kinesiology from McMaster University. My education has provided me with a foundation of knowledge in regulatory compliance, epidemiological methods, statistical principles, and data management and design. Through these programs, I have learned how to problem solve effectively, think creatively and analytically, and to analyze and interpret novel topics/problems. Through these past experiences, I have proven myself to be a creative, motivated and analytical person with excellent problem solving ability. My strong time management and organizational skills allow me to multitask effectively, handle extra responsibility, and be flexible and adaptable while working under time constraints. My communication and interpersonal skills enable me to work effectively with trial teams and health care professionals. I have displayed leadership and initiative by taking on new roles and responsibilities, and by mentoring, management, and consultation roles as a Study Coordinator.
