About Chadley Wallace

Chad Wallace moved to the Dominican Republic with his wife Krista Adams Wallace in 1995. During their first 7 years in the DR, Chad was involved in starting Exposure, a wilderness and rock climbing program and started building Pico Escondido, a residential youth resort in the mountains. In 2003, Chad and Krista left Young Life and founded the Doulos Discovery School, a Pre K - 12 grade, bi-lingual, college prep, Leadership Academy. In 2003, Chad and Jeff Loftsgaarden, purchased a 335 acre coffee plantation, now called Spirit Mountain. Much of his spare time has been invested in what is now considered by many to be the premier coffee from this island. Chad established Estancia Natura, a non profit Agro/Eco tourism project focused on developing sustainable agro-forestry ventures while fostering a delicate balance between responsible tourism and conservation. Chad launched Colorado Designs in 2005. His Design/Build firm was dedicated to innovation and the search for the perfect balance between simplicity, beauty and function. His fingerprints can be seen throughout the Jarabacoa Valley. Chad closed his firm shortly after re-locating back to the US. In the Summer of 2014, Chad and his family relocated to Tyler, Texas. He continued to work within the field of design/build with Land Visions, a design firm founded by Landscape Architect, David Cordell. Chad and Krista moved to Colorado full time in September 2019. Chad joined forces with long time friend, Jonathan Dittmar to take on the leadership of a high end residential construction company serving the Denver Metro area. He brings to D Enterprise 30+ years of organizational leadership, architectural design/build experience and a passion for serving others. In August 2021, Chas joined Root Architecture and Development to focus on design. Although Chad and Krista reside in the US, he stays deeply engage in the development of Spirit Mountain and the Doulos Discovery School through regular visits to the DR.
