About Chandana Bhuyan

I am a Senior Consultant Psychologist, internationally certified Trauma-Informed and Queer-Affirmative Psychotherapist, and Co-Founder of The MindScape — a hybrid mental-health service that bridges psychological and psychiatric care in Guwahati and beyond. My work is guided by one belief: healing minds transforms lives. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, families, and professionals across India and abroad — helping them navigate trauma, relationships, emotional regulation, and self-growth through integrative and evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches. In 2024, I had the honour of representing India as an Invited Speaker at the World Congress of Psychology in Prague, Czech Republic, where I delivered a symposium talk and presented research papers — later selected for publication in international peer-reviewed journals. That same year, I presented my research at the Asian CBT Conference at AIIMS, New Delhi, contributing to the advancement of culturally sensitive approaches in cognitive and behavioural therapies. Beyond clinical practice, I am a Master Trainer of Clinical Communication for Health Care Professionals, a Registered Global Clinician of the World Health Organization, and a Lifetime Member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Indian Council for Child Abuse, Neglect & Child Labour (ICCANCL). I also work as a Parenting Coach, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and POSH & POCSO Consultant, and conduct workshops nationwide to promote trauma-informed, inclusive, and ethical mental-health care. I am further honoured to serve as a State-Level Member of the State Child Protection Society, Assam, under the Department of Women and Child Development, Government of Assam, and as an Official Representative of the Hon’ble Governor of Assam for the same — advocating for the psychological and emotional well-being of children and families across the state. At The MindScape, our vision is to integrate psychology and psychiatry in a compassionate, accessible, and holistic manner — ensuring therapy becomes a safe, transformative space for all. I also serve as the Associate and Executive Head (Assam) of Feeling Minds, bridging the worlds of research, therapy, and training to strengthen India’s mental-health ecosystem. Every conversation, every session, and every workshop is an opportunity to help people speak their mind, heal their pain, and transform their lives — one step at a time.
