Skilled migration policy expert with an MSc in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford. With over 7 of experience in the field, I've actively contributed to progressive organizations and initiatives, making a positive impact in the realm of migration and social development. Over the course of my career, I've honed my expertise in- Migration Policy Development- Immigration and Border Governance- Labour Migration and Social Inclusion- Project Lifecycle Oversight- Program Development and Management- Monitoring and Evaluation. I'm passionate about leveraging my knowledge to support organizations in achieving their goals. Whether it's guiding government partners in policy development or collaborating with international entities like the EU and USAID, I've played a crucial role in driving impactful initiatives. My academic journey includes an MSc from the University of Oxford, where my research focused on the Zambian government’s framing of climate-induced migration. This work reflects my commitment to understanding and addressing complex challenges. In my previous roles, such as at the International Organization for Migration, I helped establish and grow the Migration and Development Unit. This unit encompasses Policy Development, Immigration and Border Governance, and Labour Migration and Social Inclusion. It's been a fulfilling journey overseeing the entire lifecycle of programs, from development to implementation. Beyond my professional pursuits, I've been recognized for my achievements, including being awarded the prestigious Thomas J. Watson Fellowship. This opportunity allowed me to delve into alternatives to immigration detention in the UK, Australia, South Africa, and Canada. In leadership roles, such as my tenure as President of the Wesleyan African Students Association, I've represented the interests of communities and spearheaded impactful initiatives.
