About Chandra Davis

I am Chandra Davis, a Board-certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). As both an Art Therapist and Counselor, I operate in many capacities—as a primary or adjunctive therapist, as a clinician able to serve diverse populations of all ages and levels of functioning, and as a provider of comprehensive mental health care. For over ten years, I have worked with adolescents and adults diagnosed with trauma-related disorders at The Center for Posttraumatic Disorder in Washington, DC, and currently at my private practice in Silver Spring, MD. My philosophy is that art can be a way to gain insight and promote healing, where anyone can use the “language of art” as a healing therapeutic tool. Currently, I am building my private practice in the Washington, DC area and creating an online tool for art therapy. When I'm not being a "therapist," I am a mother of two amazing boys, and I enjoy hiking, painting and traveling the world.
