About Chanell Carter

I am an accounting and administrative professional with twenty years of experience across various industries including manufacturing, construction, non-profit, advertising, and fin-tech. My experience in Marketing and Advertising provided me with a decade of revenue management and audit preparation, and the unique needs of B2B marketers. In the Fin-Tech industry I was the Assistant Controller for Sunday App Inc. As its twelfth hire in the United States after it completed its series A, I aided the in scaling US and Canadian operations from 12 employees to over 130. As Assistant Controller I was responsible for day-to-day financial operations, financial statement preparation, and the establishment and implementation of all policies, procedures, and internal controls in the department. Six years in the nonprofit sector provided me with invaluable experience in asset account management, financial statement analysis, GAAP, forecasting, and extensive audit preparation, as we were funded by several Federal, State, and Local government grants that were heavily monitored and audited. Financial management of these programs required a team that was efficient, flexible, and precise, and I was honored to build and lead this team.
