About Chanelle Field

I am an energetic and dedicated social work professional, excited to contribute my skills and passion to the field in South Africa. I hold a comprehensive social work foundation from Stellenbosch University, where I gained the mindset, knowledge, and practical experience necessary for effective practice. Currently, I am pursuing my Master’s degree in Social Work while working at the Stellenbosch University Department of Social Work as an administrative assistant and junior lecturer. My experience includes working at a Child and Youth Care Centre, where I supported children diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, providing case management, group therapy, and community services. In this role, I also facilitated therapeutic interventions and anger management groups. Additionally, I have gained valuable tools and experience in mental health, grief counseling, and substance abuse services, working with adolescents facing these challenges. My deep commitment to helping adolescents navigate the challenges they face, particularly trauma and societal pressures, drives me to bridge the gap for young people in difficult circumstances. My goal is to bridge the gap for adolescents, helping them navigate the complexities of growing up in an often daunting world.
