About Chanelle Jeffries

Born and raised in Johannesburg South, I completed my high school education at Mondeor High obtaining excellent results. This allowed me to continue pursuing my passion for arts and human nature at The University of the Witwatersrand where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Anthropology. On completion of my degree I occupied a position as administrator at Discovery Health, assisting with general administration tasks, resolving queries on paradigm and liaising with provident fund clients. Hereafter I worked as a receptionist at Volkswagen, providing potential and existing clients with information regarding their products. In the last 10 years I occupied a position as ABA Therapist at The Star Academy. During my years at Star Academy I obtained a certificate as a Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT). Through hard work and dedication I qualified as a Case Manger and Supervisor with enough experience and knowledge to assess clients and develop Skill Learning Programs and Behavior Intervention Plans. In addition to working on cases in South Africa, I was able travel to other African countries such as Kenya and Mauritius to work with clients as well as expend my services to clients from various counties across the world via zoom therapy sessions. While employed at the Star Academy I completed pro-bono work as a guidance counselor and therapist at a local school in a low income neighborhood. This included assessing scholars for learning delays as well as providing therapy and assistance to families of learners with conduct and difficulties and socio-economical challenges. With giving so many years to one company, I aspire to expand my knowledge and continue growing. I am excited to share my knowledge and experience in a new challenging environment.
