About Chantal Galea

I have had a few employment roles in my working life, but have found my calling in nursing. I initially was looking into aged care as i grew up in a large family with extremely close loving grandparents ( whom we lived in the next street and saw everyday of my childhood). This inspired me to become a nurse as I have tremendous respect for the elderly and wanted to contribute in improving care provided to the sector. After studying nursing I enjoyed my mental health placement so much that I gained employment in a geriatric and adult psychiatric inpatient ward with North Western Mental Health (Melbourne Health). I also worked casually (that evolved into a full time permanent position) for approximately 2 years in a private AOD rehabilitation Residential Facility in Woodend as a nurse and Case Manager with clients (forensic and private clients). In 2018 i commenced working (casually) as a Community Enrolled Nurse for Bolton Clarke ( that gradually became a permanent role where I am continually developing and strengthening my nursing skills in this role) and am currently still working in this position as it's a rewarding and challenging role that I aim to be in for some time. I am currently studying my 2nd year of Bachelor of Nursing at CDU as well as work part time with Bolton Clarke. I would like to deepen my knowledge in the nursing field as well as challenging myself to improve my nursing skills.
