I have extensive administrative support experience at the managerial level and pride myself on excelling at any task and in having the ability to wear many hats at one time. In my previous position as a Property Manager, I oversaw the daily operations of a Low-Income Public Housing property. My reputation as a competent team leader who always gets the job done comes from my ability to work cross-functionally and multitask various responsibilities such as supervising a staff of up to nine employees, preparing monthly reports, collecting rent, resolving tenant issues, procuring goods and services and the daily operations of running a property. I have extensive knowledge of HUD Housing Quality Standards and Guidelines and received a score of 91 out of 100 on the properties most REAC inspection in 2015. In addition, I have experience and knowledge of housing resources in the City of Norfolk, Landlord/Tenant Laws and Fair Housing rules and regulations in Virginia and the City of Norfolk.The most important skill I pride myself on is that I am resourceful and an avid self-starter. My experience has taught me the importance of being proactive and to adapt as situations arise. When I began my career at Portsmouth Redevelopment & Housing Authority I was a temporary employee who was only supposed to be there for six weeks. Seven years later I was the Property Manager of a new Tax Credit community. Our training resources were scarce, but through trial and error over time I learned how to use their program and now as I look back at it was well worth the effort. Work no longer seemed like a job to me when I could juggle multiple projects and anticipate needs before they became problems.
