About Charbel Abboud

I am an infrastructure sustainability engineer, currently secondment at NEOM. My main role is to improve sustainability performance and resilience of Infrastructure and Building projects at NEOM with the help of my credential: the Envision Sustainability Professional Credential (ENV SP), and LEED AP Building Design + Construction. My background is water engineering with a professional experience of over 7 years. I am currently responsible for coordinating the effective and high-quality interface between the sustainability Team and other NEOM departments, managing the consultants in the preparation of sustainability documents, and driving the implementation of achieving NEOM ambitious goals, etc. I am a continuous learner, responsible and hardworker. I had been involved in all phases of the design of stormwater drainage, sewage, water supply and firefighting networks for various projects undertaken by the Firm in the Arab Gulf region, the Middle East and Africa, including large prestigious urban developments, airport facilities, etc. More specifically, I have had valuable and substantial contributions to the design of pipes, manholes, culverts, channels, ponds, ditches and other appurtenances for major drainage projects. I have a perfect working knowledge of Bentley SewerCad, StormCad and WAterGEms in addition to other software applications in this field of speciality such as Infoworks ICM, infoSWMM, HEC-HMS, Flow Master and Culvert Master. In addition, other software applications in management field such as Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Power Point), CIvil3D, Navisworks, BIM, pipe2cad, etc
