Hi! My name’s Charithma, I'm a Research and Quality Assurance Assistant with more than 3 years experience working in a GLP laboratory and PC2- certified microbiology lab.In my most recent role as a Research and Quality Assurance Assistant at VivoPharm Global, I performed and completed a variety of experiments such as ELISAs and chromosome aberration studies, and undertook performance and maintenance checks on laboratory equipment including analytical balances, centrifuges, pipettes and weights. In terms of Quality Assurance, I have performed minor study-based audits and assisted in performing facility audits, as well as performed archival duties.I have also worked on two major projects during my studies. My Honors' project involved the development of a dual-phage cocktail that is capable of preventing the emergence of phage resistance in a hypervirulent wildtype clinical strain of K. pneumoniae and it’s mutant strain. The Biomedical Science practical involved identifying a novel drug that will effectively inhibit IRAP and translate well in vivo using enzyme assays and Unilateral Ureteral Obstruction (UUO) mouse models.
