Background
About Charity West
I’m a systems thinker and nonprofit executive with over 15 years of experience leading innovation, development, and communications. As Vice President of Innovation, Development, and Communications at JMG, I direct strategy across fundraising, branding, and employer engagement, and I support national expansion through our affiliate organization, GenUS. I apply Harvard Business School business analytics training to align mission with data-informed decision-making, guiding grant development, stakeholder communications, and strategic initiatives that support organizational growth. My work bridges structure and storytelling. I build strong public-private partnerships, design internal processes that support sustainability, and lead complex initiatives with a focus on clarity, alignment, and long-term impact. I’m an AmeriCorps alum and currently serve on the boards of Side x Side and the Portland Conservatory of Music.
