About Charlene Glisson

I am currently a PA-S1 pursuing a MSBS with a Physician Assistant concentration at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences. I graduated from the College of Health and Human services at Saginaw Valley State University with honors in August of 2022 with a BS in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Coaching. I am currently the Director of Physician Assistant Relations for the CommunityCare Clinics in Toledo, Ohio which is the largest student run free clinic in the nation. Previously I was a medical scribe through Medical Scribing Solutions in primary care, internal medicine, and ENT at The Toledo Clinic, and in pediatric neurology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital; I was also a previous student intern at Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Centers. My past volunteer service experiences include the development of health literature for the KINE Health Behavior Clinic at SVSU, Toys for Tots/Kids Clinics with the SVSU competitive cheering team, tutoring in statistics and anatomy/physiology through the Zahnow Library at SVSU, Special Olympics and Girls on the Run through Alpha Sigma Alpha – Delta Sigma Chapter at SVSU, citywide restoration and water distribution through Forge Flint, volunteering as a Middle School cheerleading coach at Morenci Area Schools, and volunteering with The American Red Cross through NHS. I am a current member of I have certifications in BLS, CPR/AED/First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens through the American Heart Association.
