About Charlene Luo

Excited in jumping out of comfort zone and accepting challenges, I would like to launch my career in data analytic to grow with a company with high potential. As an MMA candidate, I was exposed to statistical modelling and machine learning knowledge, including regression, naive bayes, decision trees, classification, neural network and model tuning. In class and practicum projects, I solved business problems by leveraging data querying, data mining, manipulation and visualization techniques with SQL, Python, R, SAS, Tableau and Excel. Some projects would be fraud detection, earning prediction and client segmentation in CIBC. With work experience in both frontline and back stage, I developed passion and a sense in business strategy and operation, and always dedicate myself to problem solving and improvement making. During my employment experience, my achievements in solving problems using analytical thinking have driven my motivation to build career as an insight and value generator. I integrated resources and contributed to operation optimization using my strong analytical and leadership skills. Equipped with both data analysis skills and business knowledge, I hope to dive into data and translate to business language, in order to provide evidence to assist decision-making progress. Technical Skills- SQL, Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn), R, Tableau, Excel - SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst - Machine learning and statistical modelling (e.g. naive bayes, decision trees, k-means, neural network, SVMs)
