My lifelong passion for gaming ignited at the age of 5 when my dad introduced me to an Atari console. This pivotal moment set me on a path of unbridled enthusiasm for the gaming universe. I can still vividly recall the anticipation of walking to the only gas station for miles around, eagerly playing Mario Bros on an arcade machine. It was during the 7th grade that I unwrapped my very own Nintendo console, solidifying my unwavering dedication to the world of gaming. The culmination of my journey thus far is my inaugural creation,"Rupert and Riley." This game serves as a heartfelt homage to the titles that initially inspired me - classics like Jaws, Life Force, and Super Mario 2. While my dreams once revolved around contributing to the Mario franchise, destiny led me to chart a different course - the establishment of my very own game studio. My professional odyssey included invaluable stints collaborating with game companies remotely and laying the groundwork for numerous startup studios. Within the vibrant community of game developers on platforms such as gamdev.net, I discovered extraordinary talents that formed the backbone of my creative team. Together, we embarked on a journey that saw us initially prototyping a game intended for mobile but ultimately transforming it into a PC game actually available on Steam. Throughout this journey, I've been committed to fostering efficient teamwork by implementing an array of cutting-edge collaboration tools. From Hipchat (now Slack) for seamless communication to Bitbucket for version control, Trello for project management, Dropbox for asset sharing, and Sourcetree for code management, these tools have synergized brilliantly with the Unity game engine, my chosen platform for its visually compelling level design capabilities. The intricate craftsmanship of game levels within Unity became my creative sanctuary. Life threw a formidable challenge my way when an urgent family situation demanded my immediate attention. The need to be there for my family members in their most vulnerable moments took precedence, and I devoted myself wholeheartedly. This experience profoundly impacted my perspective on life and work, reinforcing the importance of balancing personal and professional responsibilities. I'm available and eager to embrace new challenges, continually improve, and create innovative experiences.
