About Charlene Soo

A creative individual in my final year of study, I am currently seeking a placement in music, marketing, and media communications. Growing up in a society where pursuing a career in the arts is considered taboo, the opportunities for budding creatives to work in a professional setting are limited. However, this has only increased my drive and passion to work in this industry. My past work experiences have given me the opportunity to collaborate with professionals and teams across different sectors in Singapore, Australia, Portugal and the United Kingdom, and in sectors such as education, travel and business. This has made me capable of adapting to diverse demands and challenges in new and unfamiliar situations and taught me to work both as a team leader and a team player. I am also equipped with the knowledge base and skills for analysing and producing traditional and new media texts as well as understanding communication and cultural processes in emerging creative industries. My ultimate goal is to make a meaningful contribution and develop my skill set within a dynamic and esteemed organization in the creative industries. I am excited to leverage my creativity, adaptability, and passion for music, marketing, and media communications to help drive the success of the organization I am fortunate enough to work with.
