About Charles Allen

I am currently studying BA Classics at University College London, and intend on pursuing a career in business. My passion is turning ideas into realities and pursuing dynamic and innovative goals. I am creative, driven, ambitious.At my previous school, Winchester College, I coupled my interest in politics and desire to lead in the establishment of two political societies, hosting and interviewing senior politicians such as Jacob Rees-Mogg, Jeremy Hunt, Sir Iain Duncan Smith and Sir Graham Brady. Upon graduating from school, I completed work experience for the Rt. Hon. Sir Desmond Swayne in Parliament, and later worked for The Daily Telegraph. During my first year at University, I set up and ran two e-commerce companies, developing my first real taste for business. I subsequently worked as a Telephone Campaign Caller for Winchester College, to fund new bursaries and the renovation of the College’s War Cloister. Over the summer, I joined Disruptive Capital Finance as an intern, giving me my first taste of private equity, a career I intend to pursue.My extra-curricular interests include squash, hiking, kitesurfing and gliding.
