About Charles Armour

I am the Manager of the USRC Construction Contract Administration Group at Metrolinx with over 10 years of experience in the construction industry. I have managed construction claims across many disciplines, including bridge construction and rehabilitation, paving, heavy civil, mechanical, and ICI. I’ve also pursued successful affirmative claims and recoveries. As a Professional Engineer with a background in Surety Claims, Building Science, Sustainability, and Contract Administration, I bring a unique perspective to my work. Before joining The Guarantee, I worked at several engineering consulting firms as a co-op student, including Simpson Gumpertz and Heger in Boston, and Halsall Associates in Toronto. I continued on with Halsall after graduation, working in their Restoration and Sustainability departments. I enjoy facing new challenges and constantly learning. Working with a highly skilled team, and collaborating with stakeholders, consultants, and legal counsel is one of my favourite aspects of my position. However, I feel I do some of my best work when presented with the opportunity to dive into a problem and tackle it without supervision. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours Civil Engineering) from the University of Waterloo, where I graduated with distinction on the Dean’s Honour List. I am also a LEED AP.
