Background
About Charles Beauregard
I am a third-year law student at American University Washington College of Law. I am committed to pursuing a career in energy and utility law. Before returning to school, I gained hands-on legal experience through regulatory interventions at the Michigan Public Service Commission, representing the interests of the advanced energy industry. In addition, I consulted the industry on leveraging federal investment opportunities via the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. I built on that regulatory experience as a legal intern at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, researching various issues arising under FERC's anti-manipulation statute. I graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in Government and Environmental Science in 2020, where I published a white paper titled "Climate justice and rights-based litigation in a post-Paris world" in the Journal Climate Policy.
