About Charles Bryson

Serve as Policy Catalyst with Trailnet. As Policy Catalyst, I lead Trailnet’s strategic policy and advocacy agenda in the St. Louis region through coalition-building, community outreach, and government relations. Served as the key strategist in the passage of a City of St. Louis charter change, creating a City Department of Transportation, with an 88.5% public approval rate. Also championed and helped passage of both Vision Zero and Complete Streets laws to enhance the levels of safety for all street and sidewalk users. Previous to my position at Trailnet, I served in various positions under the tenure of former Mayor Francis Slay, including Neighborhood Development Executive, Director of Public Safety and Director of the Civil Rights Enforcement Agency. I also serve as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of the Great Rivers Environmental Center and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Diaspora Federal Credit Union.
