I have over 35 years in the construction industry and have maintained an active contractor license since 1979. Operated own company for 16 years in Marin. Functioned for the past 16 years as mainly as Residential Site Superintendent, but also as General Contractor, with level of responsibilities requiring significant experience and performing challenging projects from additions to estate renovations to new residences- Developed supervisory and management skills from experience on custom residential projects- Designed and built custom additions, remodels and new structures from experience as a General Contractor for private clients in Marin and Sonoma Counties- Drafted, estimated, developed contracts and created change orders. Provided job costing and invoicing. Interacted with government agencies to obtain permits and other documentation- Supervised layout and performance of excavation, foundations, framing, roofing, sheet metal, electrical, plumbing, flooring, tile, heating, roofing, cabinets and all related finish work- Developed leadership and goal achieving skills with crews, subs and related personnel- Proven skills in active and passive solar installations and a proven history of openness to change and evolving technologies as in smart home and green home applications- Recognized for good oral and written communication skills as well as various computer skills- Demonstrated extensive cabinet, millwork and finish work skills and with related machinery.
