Background
About Charles Clark
Charles Clark has made a name for himself as an individual that is not only connected with the African American Christian male experience but committed to doing his part to raise awareness to causes that matter to him and others who are a part of the African American community. Clark is the founder of Nebo Media Group, home of Brotha Magazine. Brotha specifically targets the African American male committed to a Christian lifestyle and is intended as an empowerment tool to comprehensively address, without restrictions, complex issues providing resources to resolve any of life's challenges. In 2014 Brotha celebrated its 5th Anniversary with its first print issue of the publication. Through Nebo Clark also created the Brotha Radio Network on BlogTalkRadio which is the home of Brotha Live (dealing with topics concerning black men), The JWilder Show (gospel music), The Patrick Shaffer Show (pop culture politics, current events, arts & entertainment etc.), Jazz Sessions (music) and Gospelove w/Demeris & Leslie Johnson (Relationships). And as of May 2016, co-owns The Star Radio, a 24-hour Internet gospel radio station (thestarradio.com). Nebo Media Group is also responsible for the creation of the Gospel Blue MIC Achievement Awards, an annual event based on merit and works, not popularity. Applicants complete nomination forms explaining their achievements and activities during the past year. The information is independently verified, and nominees and winners were voted by the Blue Ribbon Panel. Building on his partnership with others Clark began the Gospel Blue MIC Radio Association a year ago in association with Stewart Communications. This organization is set up to form a reputable chart designed for the internet and terrestrial radio stations not associated with the Broadcast Data System. This monthly chart will also serve as a nomination aid for The Gospel Blue M.I.C. Achievement Awards.
