American Polywater Corporation is an employee owned company dedicated to providing chemically based products which help our customers to install, maintain and protect infra-structure assets and systems. Critical to our success, our distribution channel partners such as our reps, distributors and wholly owned subsidiaries help to instruct our customers on best installation & maintenance practices and, also provide invaluable feed-back to American Polywater on new product/application opportunities and to changes in the regulatory environment. As a result of this close association with its distribution network, American Polywater has enjoyed significant growth over the years; especially in International markets. As Vice President of the International Division, I have been responsible for the development of new International markets. Focused on developing markets in Asia, Central & South America and Oceania, I have helped to double international revenue and profit growth since coming to the company nine years ago. To accomplish this growth, I have; i.) established a wholly owned sales and light manufacturing facility in Montevideo, Uruguay to cover the MercoSur and other South American markets; ii.) set-up a Rep office in Beijing, China to develop and manage a new distributor network throughout China, Hong Kong and Macau; and, established and nurtured relationships with key Electrical Utility, Telecommunications and Industrial Contractor companies in our focus markets. American Polywater now does business in over 70 markets around the world, in large part due to these efforts. I enjoy developing ways to make business processes more efficient using computer technology. I have developed an EDI system required for our Canadian exports and automated the International Division's budgeting and monthly financial reporting. In my leisure time, I follow my favorite International football (soccer) teams: Liverpool and Peñarol of Montevideo.
