About Charles Cunningham

My name is Charlie Cunningham and I have a passion for IT in general, SQL Server data services and data centric application development specifically. I enjoy developing, enhancing and supporting business solutions using SQL Server, vb.net and MS Access. Today, all roads in business lead to the database and data services environment. I thoroughly enjoy helping businesses navigate the data services and SQL Server environments from the technical, administration and architectural aspects. I have extensive experience in this world and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my clients. I began the data services part of my career while working in the corporate world for a national bank. I was given the challenge of designing and implementing the distributed application environment which included server based data services and all of the tools for our developers. In the process of researching, designing and implementing this new environment I found that I became passionate about this technology so after this enabling project instead of going back into corporate management I left the bank and became a SQL Server and application development consultant. Over the years I have become acknowledged as a professional services leader and, through my personal consulting engagements, a SQL Server and application development "go to" resource for numerous companies (domestic U.S. and international) including Microsoft. Because of my corporate and services company management experience, my consulting engagements have included a number of management positions, but SQL Server data services and application development have always been my passions. Today I am an independent consultant focusing on SQL Server, data centric application development using.net and MS Access, database performance management and tuning and business systems architecture in general. I prefer working remotely from my lab, traveling to my clients’ offices anytime needed or most effective for the mission.
