He is experienced in health care consulting for software implementation and development, process analysis and improvement. His experience in various clinical areas of the hospital, vendor and hospital information systems, User Experience Design and computer programming brings a unique perspective to the realm of clinical informatics. With a proven record of successful implementation and improvement projects, Charles is poised to be a valuable asset to your project and health care organization. Charles is ready to move into a leadership position in Nursing and clinical informatics where he can share his knowledge and expertise with the health system, facilitate the creation of a culture of data sharing and evidence-based practice. As a scholar-practitioner, he looks to help the system change health care and outcomes on a local and national level. Charles specializes in Emergency Department quality, process improvement, project management, software implementation, development and maintenance. He is always open to new opportunities and challenges. Charles' research areas of interest include: Use of early education events in nurse eHR training, eHR usability and ease of use, and Inclusion of Nursing Subject Matter Experts in design and development discussions to improve eHR adoption success. Charles’ past experiences and interest in usability has also led him to pursue a Masters of User Experience Design. By expanding this knowledge base, Charles looks to bring UXD principles and practices into the realm of heathcare informatics, creating user profiles and use cases to help drive development and adoption of the electronic health record.
