About Charles Dubose

I graduated in June 2019 from UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School with a Master's degree in Accounting and a concentration in Tax.My work experience has taken me from Georgia to Shanghai to Taiwan and back to Georgia, giving me cross-cultural skills and an ability to succeed in many work environments. I researched & wrote a newsletter for a UN-affiliated nonprofit while studying abroad in Shanghai and, after graduating cum laude from Clemson University's Honors College, I taught English in Taiwan before moving back to Georgia and working at a small bed & breakfast. While there, I became interested in financial management and was inspired to pursue a career in accounting. That prompted me to apply to the University of North Carolina's top-rated Master of Accounting program and graduate with a concentration in tax. Since then, I have gained a year of work experience in the demanding field of public accounting and begun studying for the CPA exam.My time as an accountant has been deeply educational and formative, and I'm excited to apply what I've learned to industry or government accounting, where I plan to establish myself firmly in the long run.
