I am Manager of the Centre of Excellence at Alexforbes responsible for Client Due Diligence (CDD), transaction monitoring and fraud related investigations. Retail and Institutional clients. The CDD processes involves FICA checks, client screening, client risk-rating and enhanced due diligence on high-risk clients identified during the screening process. The transaction monitoring involves the investigation of triggered suspicious transactions (Suspicious Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports) for possible submission to the Financial Intelligence Centre on the GoAML system. I have 9 years’ experience in criminal and forensic investigations combined at various financial institutions in the private sector and National Prosecuting Authority. My qualifications consists of amongst other a Masters in Forensic Audit and a member of the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) and ICFP.
